Elizabeth Amoaa, a mother from Ghana, recently spoke with BBC News about her experience living with the rare disorder known as uterine didelphys, or having two female reproductive organs. She claimed in this interview that because of her illness, people made fun of her and even laughed at her.
She claims that five years ago, she discussed her ailment in a radio interview with a Ghanaian station. However, a lot of Ghanaians ridiculed and made fun of her by using her narrative. Some of them even called her a “lady with two organs” and used that as an insult. She bemoaned the fact that she had received a lot of online trolling, despite being strong and standing her ground.
She said, “People mock and laugh at me because I was born with two female reproductive organs.
“It started 5 years ago when I first talked about my condition on a Radio Station. Some even tagged me names and insulted me. A lot of comments on social media were negative.
“I am stubborn and strong. I have become a voice for many women like me out there”.
