The Napoli striker was included in a 20-player shortlist for the 13th Globe Soccer Awards’ Power Horse Emerging Player of the Year category.

Osimhen will try to win the prize for the first time when it is presented in 2022 as part of the awards ceremony.
Three days before the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup begins, on November 17, the 2022 Globe Soccer Awards are scheduled to take place at the Madinat Jumeirah in Qatar.
Osimhen will compete alongside players including 2022 Kopa Trophy winner Gavi, Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde, and Arsenal striker Bukayo Saka, according the list of nominees posted on the Awards’ official website.
Osimhen will try to win the prize after the Super Eagles striker started the season well, scoring four goals and providing one assist in eight games.
Nigeria didn’t make it to the World Cup in 2022, therefore the Super Eagles star won’t be there.
