The Ogun State Government has called on the Ondo State Government to take measures to restrain its residents from encroaching on Ogun territory and launching attacks on Ogun indigenes in bordering communities shared by the two states. This plea was made by the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Ogun State Boundary Committee. The statement was issued in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State. on Border Communities”
“The Ogun State Government has called on its counterpart in Ondo State to intervene and prevent citizens from encroaching on Ogun territory and launching attacks on Ogun indigenes in bordering communities. The statement was made by Ogun State’s Deputy Governor, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who also serves as the Chairman of the Ogun State Boundary Committee. She emphasized that these encroachments have led to assaults on Ogun citizens, particularly those residing in Irokun kingdom in Ogun-Waterside Local Government Area. The alleged culprits are said to be from the Ilaje area of Ondo State.
Additionally, the Deputy Governor strongly condemned the imposition of Princess Adeyinka Abejoye Ogunyemi as the purported regent in the town, deeming it illegal and an act of impersonation.
