Diego Costa’s transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers has been finalized. On Thursday, he underwent his medical, and the Football Association approved his appeal, granting him a visa.
After departing Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro in January, the 33-year-old former Chelsea and Atlético Madrid forward has signed to a one-year contract till next summer.
Costa’s application for a work visa was first rejected because he did not meet the point requirements. It was brought on by his recent lack of playing time at the club level and subsequent absence from Spain’s international roster.
