Despite seeking to appeal the four-point deduction, an independent commission upheld the penalty, leaving Forest embroiled in a relegation battle as the season nears its end.
With only three points above 18th-place Luton Town and five ahead of 19th-place Burnley, Forest’s position in the Premier League remains precarious. However, they have a chance to secure safety this weekend if Luton and Burnley fail to win their respective matches.

On the final day of the season, Forest faces Burnley in what could become a decisive relegation showdown, while Luton hosts Fulham.
Forest’s situation echoes other teams’ experiences with PSR breaches this season. Everton, for example, had their initial ten-point penalty reduced to six on appeal before receiving an additional two-point deduction. However, Everton’s relegation fears have now dissipated.
