Yetunde Bakare, a Nollywood actress, has revealed to her fans and admirers that she has converted to Christianity from Islam.
On Friday, the actress, also known as Yetunde Modinatu, revealed her decision through a post on her verified Instagram account.

Despite being born into a Muslim family, the actress believes that her relationship with God is more important than her religion. She went on to say that she still loves her Muslim brothers and sisters, but that she is the only one who knows the circumstances of why she converted. Here’s what she had to say:
“I was born and raised as a Muslim, and my sunnah name is MODINAT, but I’m now a Christian for reasons I don’t fully understand.”
“However, I love my Muslim brothers and sisters because, at the end of the day, religion isn’t everything; it’s your relationship with God that means the most JUMM’AT MUBARAK my people.”
