Nigerians have expressed displeasure with some of their favorite Nollywood actors for endorsing Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a candidate for president.

The list includes notable Nollywood actresses including Joke Silva, Mercy Johnson Okojie, Fausat Balogun, Bahama Sadau, and others.

According to Punch, the first lady Aisha Buhari, senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Hajiya Nana, the wife of senator Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate, led the pack when the ruling All Progressive Congress unveiled the makeup of the women’s campaign train on Independence Day.

33 Nollywood and Kannywood stars were named under the Creative and Entertainment Category in the 70-page campaign blueprint.

Among them were Princess Kalihat Bello, Fausat Balogun, Rahama Sadau, Remi Oshodi, Mercy Johnson Okojie, Rose Odika, Sola Kosoko, Lanre Hassan (Iya Awero), Hajiya Nas, Lizzy Jay (Omo Ibadan), and legendary actor Joke Silva, who chairs the category.

Many people were disappointed in Mercy Johnson and Joke Silva after hearing the news that they had joined the party and set up camp.
