Nigerian Police have detained famous Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley in connection with the passing of his former signee Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad,
Sam Larry, a socialite from Lagos and best friend of Naira Marley, was held at the Lagos airport upon his return to Nigeria on suspicion of being implicated in Mohbad’s death just a few days prior.
Naira Marley, who insisted he had no part in Mohbad’s murder, recently informed the police that he had returned to Lagos, Nigeria by posting on his verified page on the X platform.

He wrote; “I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”
Confirming this, Nigerian police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin via his page on the X platform utters that Naira Marley has been arrested and taken into custody for interrogation.
The post reads; “Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities…”
