With their most recent victory, the Flamingos have advanced to the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup quarterfinals.
Blessing At the Kalinga Stadium, Nigeria won the game thanks to goals from Emmanuel and Bisola Mosaku, who both scored in the fourth and 88th minutes, respectively.

Despite Roverner Tali’s successful late penalty conversion, the Nigerian team advanced to the next round.
On Friday, the Flamingoes will play either Brazil or the United States in the quarterfinals.
On Monday, the Flamingos had a few opportunities that were not taken advantage of, but head coach Bankole Olowookere reassured the players that they will improve as the tournament goes on.
“We wasted a number of opportunities again, but I appreciate the attitude of the team, and we will get better as the campaign goes on,” Olowookere said.
“I’m glad we made it to the final eight and that we kept our winning attitude even though we were guaranteed passage with just a draw,” the player said.
Germany finished first in Group B with a maximum score of nine points, followed by Nigeria with six points.
