Dr. Folashade Ayoade has been appointed Secretary to the State Government, as announced by Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo.
Ayoade hails from the Kogi West Senatorial district and served as the SSG for the final eight years of Yayaha Bello’s tenure as governor.
The governor also declared Ali Bello’s appointment to the position of Chief of Staff.

Our correspondent’s investigation revealed that Bello is a native of the Kogi Central Senatorial District and the former governor’s nephew.
Bello worked for Yakubu Adabenege, who is currently the Auditor-General of Local Government, prior to his appointment.
Two weeks ago, the outgoing governor appointed Adabenege.
Additionally, Suleman Ibrahim was named Director-General of Protocol.
It was declared Oladele Nihi would serve as Chief Press Secretary.
Additionally, the governor announced the appointment of a few commissioner-designates, the majority of whom served as previous governor’s commissioners.
These individuals were Kingsley Fanwo, the former Commissioner for Information; Idris Ashiru, the former Commissioner for Finance; Bashir Gegu, the former Commissioner for Solid Minerals; Wemi Jones, the former Commissioner for Education; and Salami Deedat, the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
