The usual trio of Ahmed Musa, William Troost-Ekong, and Kenneth Omeruo from Kasimpasa are projected to start the opening game on the bench. In their absence, the captain’s armband is likely to be entrusted to Nantes forward Moses Simon.
If Moses Simon is not included in the starting lineup, the captaincy may be handed to either Victor Osimhen or midfielder Alex Iwobi, both of whom are expected to play pivotal roles in the match.
