The president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, was accused of collecting counterfeit money from the concert that Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable or Zazzu, performed at last night.
The musician posted a video of himself showing off the cash from the performance on his official Instagram page. The majority of the moneys were privately printed and are not accepted as legal tender.
Those who came to the show sprayed Portable with cash. In order to avoid disappointing the performer, his admirers usually pay him a lot of money in spray, but no one ever came up to say how the false money was created.

The spraying of Nigerian cash during events is prohibited by the central bank of Nigeria. Anybody does that will be put in jail. We now see people spraying fake dollars at events because people are cautious about how they display cash in public.
The new cashless system only serves to support Portable’s criticism of the president. He believes he wouldn’t have been doused with counterfeit money if the president hadn’t authorized or decided to put such a program into effect.
