Before the 2023 presidential election, Nigerian actress Lizzy Anjorin formally announced her support for Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential nominee.
Anjorin, who is well-known for her contentious statements, posted a video on Instagram explaining why she supports Tinubu.
She expressed her support for him and referred to him as “City Boy” in the post.

She wrote: “”VOTE UR CANDIDATE IN PEACE WE ARE ONE BIG FAMILY, I STAND WITH CITY BOY, BOLA HAMED TINUBU””
Anjorin’s declaration of support for Tinubu has elicited mixed reactions from her fans and followers on social media, with some expressing their support for her stance, while others criticized her for endorsing a particular candidate.
One fan wrote, ” I love this message . I love you more. More like you just poured my mind out. I wish the video can be compressed and short to share. Yoruba ni ilara gan and that’s the major problem of some Yoruba people who isn’t inline with this man. Most are even envious of a link to the man and not the man himself lol. It’s deeper than we think”
