In 2022, the singer Asake released his debut album “Mr Money With The Vibe,” consisting of 12 tracks that were nothing short of nostalgic bops. Asake also wowed audiences in Europe and America, leaving many wondering how he managed to achieve such success seemingly out of nowhere.

Despite his meteoric rise, Asake has always incorporated his Muslim identity into his music, particularly in his hit song “PBUY” (Peace Be Unto You). The music video for the song features Alfas reciting the Arabic supplication “A’udhu bi kalimat Allaah al-taammaat min sharri ma khalaq,” which translates to “I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.”

The video shows the Alfas reciting a prayer to help Asake achieve security and progress in his music career. The clip has since gone viral, sparking reactions among netizens.

In the video, the YBNL signee, Ahmed Ololade, can be seen bowing his head while one of the Alfas places his hand on the singer’s head. Asake had already surprised many music lovers in 2022 with his talent for delivering Afrobeats tracks.
