Wizkid, the acclaimed Nigerian artist, professionally named Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, revealed that life has held no meaning for him since the passing of his mother.
This revelation was made on December 20, 2023, through the insta-stories section of his verified Instagram page, coinciding with the release of the tracklist for his latest EP, “Soundman Vol.2.”
Yesterday, Wizkid who shared a photo of him receiving drips as he detoxifies himself at a hospital announced that he is going to release his EP “Soundman Vol.2” which consists of four tracks on Friday, December 22nd 2023.

However, Wizkid who has remained in Lagos following the burial party of his mother in October said that the death of his mum made him know more about the reality of life.
He said that life has been meaningless to him since his mother died and by extension added that he made one of the songs on his EP dubbed “IdK” featuring Zlatan Ibile days after he lost his mother.
Wizkid wrote; “Make idk days after I lost my mum. Life’s been meaningless! but we dey!”
