Background

I was raised in a tight-knit family, being the second child with younger siblings. During my childhood, I have vivid memories of playing games like “daddy and mommy” while living with my grandmother. In the evenings, my friends and I would gather, engaging in play and singing to keep ourselves entertained.

During my early years, I held aspirations of becoming either a banker or a lawyer. This passion for these professions drove me to pursue a degree in Banking and Finance, even though I am not currently practicing in that field.

Education

For my primary education, I attended Public Day School and Methodist Nursery and Primary School, both located in Ibadan, Oyo State. Following that, I enrolled in Ise-Oluwa Montessori High School, also situated in Ibadan. Subsequently, I was admitted to the University of Ado Ekiti, where I earned a degree in Banking and Finance.

Career Development

My acting journey began with my involvement in a film called “Oko mi laye, Oko mi Lorun,” which was produced by Femi Fadeyi. Although it was a new experience for me at the time, I dedicated myself to interpreting the role to the best of my abilities.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of participating in numerous movies, both as an actress and a producer. Some notable titles include “Emotional Tears” (Omije Okan Mi), “Imotayo,” “Oja,” and “Ategun,” among others.

Parental support

My parents have always been supportive of my career. They are my strong pillars.

Lessons

One of the lessons I have learnt is to be committed. This is because it is not always easy at the beginning. When one is starting out, one could be at a movie location for more than three days, without getting to shoot any scene. However, if one is committed and focused, those bad days would be a thing of the past.

Challenges

I encountered a lot of challenges when I started, but I overcame them by the grace of God. At times, one could be at a movie location for days without a guarantee that one would get a movie role. Getting the opportunity to showcase my acting talent was a major challenge then. However, my persistence, commitment and dedication are gradually paying off. I am not where I want to be yet, but I am also not where I used to be. I am constantly growing and looking for opportunities to develop myself in my craft.

Scripts

I am very passionate about what I do. Even though I know money is very important, I also want to write my name in gold. I won’t appear in a movie with a weak storyline. If the storyline would impact people and add value to their lives, you can count me in.

Roles

My dream role is to act as a notorious criminal. I haven’t done a crime movie yet. I know it will be challenging, but a role like that makes one a better role interpreter.

However, I draw a line when it comes to playing romantic roles. I cannot go beyond kissing.

If one is business-oriented, one would definitely get returns on any movie one produces. Just like with anything one does in life, things might be challenging at the initial stage. But, the more one acts and produces movies, the more popular one becomes and this will open more doors.

Embarrassment

I have never had an embarrassing moment with a fan. I would say I have been lucky in that regard.

Fear

Fear

The frightening moment of my life was when I was in the university, and I invested my school fees in starting a business. The school management then said any student that didn’t pay fees wouldn’t be allowed to sit for examinations. I was really scared and bothered at that period, but I was eventually able to sort it out. Thanks to God.

Sexual harassment

I have not experienced such in the course of doing my job. I cannot talk about what I haven’t experienced.

Cosmetic surgery

That’s a big ‘no’ for me. I cannot do that. I am a child of God, and I am satisfied with the way I am.

Attention

My face gets me a lot of attention. People tell me I am photogenic. I would consider being a face model really soon.

Men

I want a man who is God-fearing — that is very important to me. Someone who really honours God and fears Him will find it difficult to cheat.

Love

The craziest thing I have ever done for love was crying. My tears were endless. I cried like a baby. Looking back now, I can’t imagine I did that.

Fashion

I wouldn’t pierce my nose and tongue in the name of fashion. When it comes to dressing, I love to be simple. I fancy short gowns. I also love to wear T-shirts and jeans.
