The host of the ‘Nancy Isime show’ said that her childhood trauma made her a men-pleaser.

In an interview with actress and cum host Lilian Afegbai, she admitted that she became a people pleaser as a result of her inability to gain the attention she needed as a child.

She wanted everyone to like her when she was younger.

Nancy Isime, on the other hand, has discarded the juvenile attitude since she has matured to the point where she no longer needs anyone’s approval or validation.

She said, “I don’t force myself on anybody. I used to be a people pleaser but that came from childhood trauma. It came from childhood trauma where you’ll be looking for attention as a child and you didn’t get it. When you get older, you start waning people to like you. So even if it’s breaking you, even if you know that this person doesn’t like you and has said shit about you, you think maybe they can change their minds”.

Speaking on how she overcomed it, she alluded self love for helping her out.

“But learning to love myself and being intuitive helped me to heal from being a people pleaser”.
