Jose Mourinho has reportedly secured a verbal agreement to assume the role of the new manager at Al-Shabab, as per Asharq Al-Awsat.
The 64-year-old recently parted ways with Roma after being sacked earlier in the week, with the Serie A team positioned in ninth place.
While at Roma, Mourinho had expressed interest in the possibility of coaching in the Saudi Pro League. He revealed having turned down what he described as the “biggest and craziest offer a coach has ever received” to stay in Italy.

The offer, a reported £500,000-a-week deal to lead Al-Hilal, eventually went to Jorge Jesus.
Now, it seems Mourinho is on the verge of taking the reins at Al-Shabab, following a Zoom meeting with the club’s sporting director, Domenico Tite, on Thursday.
If the agreement is finalized, it is anticipated that Mourinho will “arrive” in Saudi Arabia in the coming days, according to the report.
