Mohamed Salah has expressed his pride after becoming the first player in Premier League history to record double figures in both goals and assists before Christmas.
The Egyptian superstar scored twice and provided two assists in Liverpool’s thrilling 6-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, bringing his season tally to 15 goals and 11 assists in just 16 games.
While breaking this unprecedented record wasnโt a specific goal, Salah acknowledged the significance of the achievement. “I didnโt think about it before the game, but Iโm glad Iโve done it,” he said. “Itโs something that makes me proud, and Iโll keep working hard.”

Salahโs dazzling form has also propelled him up Liverpoolโs all-time scoring charts. With 229 goals, he has surpassed Billy Liddellโs 228 to claim fourth place. Now, Salah is setting his sights on Gordon Hodgsonโs 241, which would move him into third.
“Itโs great to achieve this at such a big club, but the most important thing is that we won the game,” Salah said with a smile. “Wherever I end my career, Iโll always be happy with what Iโve achieved.”
