Mohamed Salah was once again asked about his uncertain future at Liverpool following his impressive two-goal performance in Saturday’s 6-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur. Against Tottenham, Salah made history as the first player in Premier League history to record double figures for both goals and assists before Christmas in a single season. He also moved into fourth place on Liverpool’s all-time top scorers list with 229 goals, surpassing Billy Liddell. Ian Rush remains the all-time leader with 346 goals, but Salah could challenge third-place Gordon Hodgson (241) before the end of the season and even has a chance to catch Roger Hunt (285), provided he signs a new contract.
If Salah decides to leave Liverpool in 2025, potential suitors include wealthy clubs like Paris Saint-Germain or teams in the Saudi Pro League, which could offer him significant wages and a signing bonus. Barcelona has also been linked, though their ongoing financial struggles could make a move difficult.
