In their last Ligue 1 match against Lille, the 34-year-old was taken off early.

After the 2-1 triumph, Pochettino stated that the Argentine superstar had picked up a knock, and PSG have now acknowledged that he is dealing with two distinct ailments that have kept him out of the lineup.

“Leo Messi has hamstring tightness in his left leg and knee soreness following a contusion,” according to a statement on PSG’s official website.

Messi’s comeback has yet to be given a specific timeframe by PSG, but the 34-year-old is expected to miss several games.

Messi is said to have been suffering from knee pain since playing for Argentina during the September international break, and he is reportedly planning to fly to Spain for treatment.
