Formerly known as Durojaiyeola Oluwakemi Kuti, Jaiye Kuti is a Nigerian actress, producer, screenwriter, and businesswoman. The 52-year-old actress was born in Nigeria’s Kano State on July 10, 1966.
She began her elementary education at Sunshine Primary School, but when her father was relocated, she had to transfer to Temidire Primary School. After completing her primary schooling, she continued on to Ikorodu High School for her secondary education.
She sought for admission to Ilaro Federal Polytechnic in Ogun State, where she studies secretarial administration, after finishing both her primary and secondary schooling and receiving their respective diplomas.

Oluwakemi continued her education at the esteemed University of Lagos, where she earned an English degree.
Jaiye Kuti, however, ultimately decided to work in the entertainment sector. She claims that even as a young child, she shows an interest in performing.
Kuti originally worked in banking before pursuing a career in acting.
Actress Kuti made her acting debut in 2002 when she appeared in the TV series “Laff Patterns,” a role that helped her gain notoriety.
