The 25-year-old French star was officially presented by Madrid on Tuesday, having signed a lucrative five-year contract with the Spanish giants after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

He had sustained a painful nose injury during the recent European Championship in Germany, which required him to wear a mask for several matches and raised concerns about a potential delay to his Real Madrid debut if surgery was needed.

According to Spanish outlet AS, a recent meeting with Real Madrid’s medical team confirmed that surgery on his nose will not be required, allowing him to feature in the Super Cup clash against Atalanta.

Atalanta secured their place in the match by winning the Europa League, overcoming Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen in the final with a hat-trick from Lookman.
