Teniola Apata, a well-known musician and composer from Nigeria who goes by Teni, recently drew criticism for her thoughtful gift to homeless children.
The “Malaika” hitmaker Teni made the decision to indulge the homeless girls at Dream Catchers Academy, a non-governmental organization, after garnering attention for her attire at an event over the weekend.
Teni took them to a Shoprite after she visited the orphanages and the homeless girl at their residence.
Upon getting to Shoprite, Teni shows off the philanthropy embedded in her by shopping for the children.
Telling the homeless kids to pick what they want under a period of time, Teni said; ” On your mark, set go”.
And the kids responded by shopping for anything they want that include, packs of cornflakes, packs of Indomie, packs of Semovita, Bournvita, and drinks among other groceries.
At the end, the singer pays for everything and the kids surround her as they bond much more with her in an environment that oozes absolutely nothing but positive energy.
