Nigerian comedian and skit creator Mariam Apaokagi, better known online as Taaooma, has officially founded her charitable organization, the Mariam Apaokagi Initiative.

Punch asserts that the charity is dedicated to aiding the socially disadvantaged, with a focus on her hometown of Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Mariam Apaokagi Initiative was unveiled during Taaooma’s courtesy visit to Saliu Mustapha, the senator representing the Kwara Central Senatorial District, at his home in Ilorin.

Taaooma gave a presentation about the foundation during the meeting and reaffirmed her dedication to improving the lives of those who are less fortunate

While outlining the foundation’s many initiatives, Taaooma made it clear that the project is her way of giving back to the community.

She also asked for the senator’s cooperation and assistance in order for the foundation to succeed. Taaooma received praise from Senator Mustapha for her great initiative, and he assured her that he would always be available to work with her.

The legislator, also known as the Turaki of Ilorin, accused the sketch creator of creating content that is morally grounded and capable of reversing the trend of drug misuse and other illegal activity.

The senator also emphasized the importance of vocational education for young people, emphasizing how it can help create jobs and be a vehicle for empowering the next generation.

He advised Taaooma to concentrate on material that upholds moral principles and aids in the battle against social vices.
