In order to rest some players before their Champions League encounter against Xavi Hernandez’s Football Club Barcelona, Julian Nagelsmann’s Bayern Munich chose to start a young player against VfB Stuttgart today. Leroy Sane, Sadio Mane, Lucas Hernandez, and Benjamin Pavard will be rested, the coach decides.

Mathys Tel is one of the winners from this significant adjustment to the starting lineup. A very excellent ball from Alphonso Davies allowed the Young starter, who started on the right side where Sane would have played if he were on the field, to score with just one touch. Approximately 36 minutes into the first half, the goal was scored.

At the age of seventeen, Mathys Tel’s goal made him the club’s youngest-ever scorer. If the coach allows the player additional time on the field, he still has the second half of the game to play and could shatter more records.

Recall that Sane opened the scoring in the first half, then Danilo Dโ€™Ambrosio of Inter turned the Germanโ€™s attempted pass into his own goal in the second half.

After last weekendโ€™s 1-1 draw against Union Berlin, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann criticized his teamโ€™s intensity but stated they โ€œshowed their desireโ€ to compete.

According to Nagelsmann, โ€œthe energy was good and the desire of everyone was extremely good.โ€

โ€œWe didnโ€™t score enough goals, but we were deserving winners. Although we shown good sportsmanship, the game may have been settled sooner.
