In spite of Paris Saint-interest, Germain’s Manchester United will not consider offers for Fred that are less than £30 million.

Before the club invoked a 12-month extension clause in his contract earlier this week, the Brazilian was scheduled to leave Old Trafford at the conclusion of the current campaign.

This season, Fred has only made four Premier League starts due to the additions of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.

Erik ten Hag continues to place a high premium on the midfield and would ideally like to bring in Jude Bellingham from Dortmund this summer.

To entice the England star to Old Trafford, the Dutchman would need to make space in the midfield, let alone space in his budget.

Although Ten Hag respects Fred’s perseverance and physical endurance, he prefers midfielders who are better at dominating their opponents so that his team may play aggressively.

In order to counterbalance a front three consisting of Kylian Mbappe, Kylian Messi, and Lionel Messi, Paris Saint-Germain wants additional dynamism in their midfield in addition to players like Marco Verratti.

Even if United is willing to let go of Fred, the Sun reports that they want £30 million for the Brazilian.

United invested £52 million on Fred in 2018, and in the four and a half years since, the Brazilian international has made 174 appearances for the team.
