Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen is reportedly on the verge of departing the club this summer due to limited playing time under manager Erik ten Hag.

According to Danish outlet Ekstrabladet (via TEAMTalk), Eriksen acknowledges that his time at Old Trafford is drawing to a close, as he has been surpassed in the pecking order by younger players like Kobbie Mainoo, Scott McTominay, and loanee Sofyan Amrabat under Ten Hag’s management.

Eriksen reportedly feels he is now considered ‘surplus to requirements’ and is preparing to express his desire to leave.

With just over a year remaining on his contract, United may seek to capitalize on Eriksen’s departure this summer, potentially offloading the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder.
