Manchester United announced on Wednesday that midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has completed a permanent transfer to Championship club Burnley.

The club’s statement, released ahead of their Premier League match against Liverpool this weekend, read: “Hannibal has completed a permanent transfer from Manchester United to Championship side Burnley. We wish you the best of luck with your next steps, Hannibal!”

Mejbri joined United’s youth system from Monaco in 2019 and spent five years with the club. The 21-year-old Tunisia international made 13 first-team appearances under Erik ten Hag.
