Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof have both sustained muscle injuries, ruling them out for “at least a month,” the club announced on Tuesday.
Lindelof suffered a hamstring strain during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Brentford, unable to complete the match as a result. Martinez, who replaced Lindelof during the game, suffered a calf strain in training shortly after his return from a previous knee injury, further extending his spell on the sidelines.
Martinez has endured a challenging year with injuries, including a fractured metatarsal last April and subsequent setbacks, limiting his appearances for the team.

Although Raphael Varane’s absence from the statement suggests his injury may not be serious, Jonny Evans was also sidelined against Brentford.
