Musiala made the move from Chelsea to Bayern Munich almost five years ago, with Chelsea including a sell-on clause in the transfer agreement. Despite being tied to Bayern until 2026, Musiala seeks assurances about the club’s competitiveness and a significant salary increase before committing to a contract extension.

Manchester City’s interest in bolstering their attacking options comes as Phil Foden takes on a more central role and Kevin De Bruyne approaches his mid-thirties. Alongside Musiala, the club is also considering Lucas Paqueta from West Ham United and Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.
Olise, in particular, has attracted attention with his standout performances for Crystal Palace, despite facing injuries during the season. The French U21 international has contributed to nine goals in twelve Premier League appearances.
Last summer, there were speculations linking Olise with a return to Chelsea. However, Crystal Palace successfully rebuffed the interest and secured his services with a new contract running until June 30, 2027.
