According to reports, Manchester City has disclosed their asking price for midfielder Kevin De Bruyne in response to interest from the Saudi Pro League. De Bruyne is said to be a target for Al Nassr, who are eyeing a potential move next summer. The Saudi Pro League club appears optimistic about convincing the City legend to leave European football.

A prospective transfer to the Saudi Pro League and Al Nassr would bring De Bruyne together with Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. It would also see him reunite with former City teammate Aymeric Laporte, who joined the club in the recent summer transfer window.

Fabrizio Romano previously reported that De Bruyne rejected advances from Saudi Arabia in the summer, choosing to remain at City. However, the 2023/24 season has been challenging for the 32-year-old, as he suffered a hamstring injury on the opening day against Burnley and has been sidelined since.

TEAMtalk has now claimed that Manchester City is open to selling the midfielder before his contract expires in the summer of 2025. They are reportedly demanding a fee of just ยฃ60 million for the Belgian international, despite his status as one of the world’s top players when fit.

The Saudi Pro League is expected to have the financial means to meet this asking price, as the 2024 summer transfer window is predicted to be one of the biggest spending transfer windows in history.

If De Bruyne departs the Etihad Stadium next summer, it will mark the end of a nine-year tenure at City during which he became one of the all-time great Premier League midfielders. The 32-year-old has won 14 trophies under Pep Guardiola at City, including five Premier League titles and one Champions League crown. He is the last remaining player in City’s senior squad who was signed prior to Guardiola’s arrival in the summer of 2016, with City having paid a reported club-record fee of ยฃ54 million to acquire him from Wolfsburg in 2015.
