Manchester United have started scouting for a new goalkeeper, with both Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir’s futures at the club in question.
Onana, who arrived from Ajax in the summer of 2023 for ยฃ47.2 million, has been United’s first-choice goalkeeper. While he has delivered some impressive performances, his tenure has also been marred by individual mistakes, particularly since the appointment of new head coach Ruben Amorim.
Bayindir, Onanaโs backup, has had limited opportunities and struggled to make an impact, with a mistake-ridden display in the Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham Hotspur further complicating his position.

According to The Telegraph, United officials have started exploring their options in goal, with 22-year-old Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens emerging as a potential target. Lammens is highly regarded across Europe, with Borussia Dortmund also reportedly interested in him.
While Manchester United are not in a hurry to sign a new goalkeeper, with a left-back position still a top priorityโParis Saint-Germainโs Nuno Mendes is a key targetโthe situation could change if Bayindir seeks a move for more first-team opportunities.
Even if Bayindir departs, United may not rush into signing a replacement, as 38-year-old Tom Heaton remains part of the squad.
