Twenty minutes after Cristiano Ronaldo called his employers a “marketing club,” Manchester United removed a tweet touting a Black Friday bargain.
After giving a lengthy interview to Piers Morgan and claiming to have been “betrayed” by United, Ronaldo has generated a great deal of controversy.
Ronaldo personally asked for the 90-minute interview, which will appear on TalkTV on Wednesday and Thursday.
However, much of the information has already been widely shared online. The most recent excerpt, shared by Morgan on Monday, featured him criticizing the infamous Glazer family, who bought United in 2003.
Ronaldo accused the Glazers of not caring about the sporting aspect and only being driven by money after criticizing United for not improving its facilities and standards since his return.

“Manchester [United] is a marketing team, as you are aware. The marketing will bring in money for them. In my opinion, they don’t truly care about the sport.”
In addition, Ronaldo stated he hasn’t spoken to the Glazers since they came back in 2021 and that the club’s supporters have a right to criticize the ownership.
Around ten o’clock in the evening, the most recent portion of the interview appeared on Twitter timelines. At ten twenty-one, United’s official Twitter account, which has 33.9 million followers, announced a Black Friday sale for the online store.
