Manchester City’s dismal run continued on Tuesday with a stunning 3-3 draw at home to Feyenoord.
Pep Guardiola’s side were cruising at 3-0 up early in the second half, thanks to a brace from Erling Haaland and a strike from Ilkay Gundogan. However, a dramatic collapse in the final stages allowed Feyenoord to salvage a point.

City started strongly, with Ilkay Gundogan’s early effort deflected wide. The hosts dominated possession, drawing several fouls as Feyenoord struggled to keep up with the pace of the game.
In the 10th minute, Feyenoord goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther made a crucial save, denying Haaland’s header. Wellenreuther nearly became the villain soon after, when a poor pass put Bernardo Silva in a dangerous position, but a scramble in the penalty box spared his blushes.
Phil Foden tested Wellenreuther with a powerful strike from distance, while at the other end, Ederson was called into action to deny Igor Paixao, who almost put Feyenoord ahead against the run of play.
With five minutes to go in the first half, David Hancko made a crucial block to deny Haaland, but City were awarded a penalty after Quentin Timber fouled the Norwegian in the box. Haaland converted confidently, his goal a mix of relief and frustration after a challenging period.
City’s dominance continued after the break. Gundogan doubled their lead with a deflected strike that found the back of the net, and just three minutes later, Haaland completed his brace, tapping in a low cross from Matheus Nunes to make it 3-0.
But the game was far from over.
As City relaxed, Feyenoord capitalized on a series of defensive errors. Josko Gvardiol’s poor back pass was intercepted by Anis Hadj Moussa, who rounded Ederson to score from a tight angle.
With eight minutes remaining, another defensive lapse allowed Santiago Gimenez to tap in from close range. As the clock ticked towards 90 minutes, Hancko headed home on a counterattack, completing a dramatic late comeback for Feyenoord, who secured a share of the spoils.
City’s winless streak now extends to six games, piling on the pressure as they look to turn their fortunes around.
