An unidentified man has been taken into custody in Lagos State on suspicion of stealing a Toyota Hilux automobile from his employer.
PUNK According to information obtained by Metro, the suspect planned to take his family to Ghana when he stole the car.
It was also discovered that the incident happened at approximately 1:00 pm on January 16.

“A group of detectives moved quickly after receiving the information and during the inquiry, the car was found in Ilukogun village, which borders Ogun State and Lagos,” a police source told our correspondent.
When our correspondent got in touch with Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the state police, he confirmed the incident and said that investigations were underway to find more members of the suspect’s group. The suspect had admitted to stealing the car after being captured.
“After being taken into custody, the suspect admitted to stealing the car,” the statement read. Investigations are still ongoing in order to potentially apprehend additional members of his gang.
Abisodun Ilori, a 54-year-old mechanic, was detained for auto theft in the Lagos State neighborhood of Isheri-Oshun, according to a previous report from PUNCH Metro.
It was discovered that Ilori’s arrest came about as a result of a local resident reporting that his Nissan Xterra went missing.
It was learned that the car’s owner had left for church on Sunday when Ilori came over to his house, took the car keys from his daughter, and drove it off to somewhere in the distance.
