In another video, the man is seen being led away by police, hands cuffed behind his back. He remarks to a bystander, “Bloody warm, innit?”

French police evacuated the area around the Eiffel Tower during the incident.

While the Eiffel Tower was a centerpiece of the grand finale of the Olympic opening ceremony, it was not expected to play a role in the closing ceremony later that Sunday.
