At United, Lisandro Martinez has already had a significant impact.
Lisandro Martinez has received praise from teammate Luke Shaw for his ‘unbelievable’ start to life at Manchester United this season. In the summer, as Erik ten Hag looked for new competition in central defense, United and Ajax reached an agreement for £56.7 million to sign the Argentine center defender to a five-year contract.

Martinez has already made a name for himself in the first-team lineup this season, participating in all 13 of Ten Hag’s games and starting all but one of them.

Those who play alongside him at left-back, including Shaw, have felt his impact on the left-side of United’s defense. Shaw is a huge fan of the summer signing.

After United’s tie with Newcastle, Shaw told reporters, “(He has been) incredible, to be honest.” “You can tell that his followers and everyone else adore him.

He has an incredible left foot. Left-footers normally tend to come out to that side, so I think it always helps to have one on the side, and I believe he has blended in pretty well. Although he can undoubtedly go further, he has so far this season been great in my opinion.

“I am really happy to have him in the team,” the coach said. “He needs to keep that up. His aggression, his passion, we need him in that backline.
