Insiders suggest that Liverpool remains a significant admirer of Colwill and will closely monitor his progress in case an opportunity arises for a potential move from Chelsea. The Reds have had a longstanding interest in Colwill dating back to his loan days at Huddersfield Town. However, Chelsea has firmly ruled out any intention of selling the 20-year-old, considering him a potential future captain after captaining the team in a recent 2-1 loss to Manchester United.

Chelsea has not assigned a valuation to Colwill, and the club categorically deems him not for sale, regardless of potential financial considerations in 2024. Despite being utilized as a left-back this season, which has raised concerns among some Chelsea fans, the club maintains its stance on retaining Colwill.
If Colwill’s continued role as a left-back persists, there might be a push from the player’s side to return to his natural position or even consider leaving the club in search of such opportunities. Colwill, who impressed for England’s Young Lions in their triumphant Under-21 European Championship last summer, anticipates being considered as a center-back for England in Euro 2024.
However, Chelsea’s current stance is to reject any offers that may come in for Colwill. Meanwhile, Liverpool’s summer plans reportedly involve securing two center-backs – one with more experience and another as a prospect for the future.
