Jurgen Klopp applauds Dominik Szoboszlai’s moment of brilliance, which orchestrated Liverpool’s winning goal against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool secured a crucial three points in the Premier League title race, ahead of Man City and Arsenal’s top-of-the-table clash, clinching a 2-1 victory over Brighton with goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah.
Despite an early setback with Danny Welbeck’s stunning strike giving Brighton the lead within 90 seconds at Anfield, Liverpool managed to equalize before halftime through Diaz. Salah then finished off a delightful move involving Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister to seal the win.

In an interview with BBC Sport after the match, Klopp highlighted Szoboszlai’s pinpoint pass to Mac Allister that initiated the winning sequence: “That is an unbelievable ball [from Dominik Szoboszlai],” Klopp remarked.
“He showcased creativity and quality, spotting Macca, executing an incredible first touch, and then finding Mo. Despite our wastefulness in other moments, it was pivotal to have this moment of football genius to secure the victory.”
Klopp also commended Liverpool’s overall performance, noting it as their best against Roberto De Zerbi’s talented Brighton side: “I would have preferred not to concede early and to have been ahead by four or five goals, but this was our best performance against De Zerbi’s Brighton.”
