The game began with Tottenham showing promise despite entering on a three-match losing streak. However, Liverpool’s threat became evident when Salah’s cross narrowly clipped the bar.

Liverpool’s dominance intensified, with Elliott coming close to breaking the deadlock, only to be denied by a Cristian Romero block on the line.

The breakthrough came as Gakpo delivered a superb cross for Salah to head home, putting Liverpool in control. Just before halftime, Robertson capitalized on a rebound to double the lead.

Liverpool continued their dominance into the second half, extending their lead to 3-0 as Gakpo converted Elliott’s delivery. Elliott then added his name to the scoresheet with a spectacular curling effort.

Despite Liverpool’s commanding lead, a defensive lapse allowed Richarlison to score for Tottenham. Son Heung-min further reduced the deficit with a well-taken goal.

However, Liverpool held on to secure the victory and thwart any hopes of a Tottenham comeback.
