After the break, Liverpool regained the lead through Diaz’s goal seven minutes in. Despite some anxious moments, the Reds secured victory with Darwin Nunez’s header late in the game.

Fofana missed another chance, curling his shot wide, and Liverpool’s Jota and Quansah came close to a third goal.
With just over ten minutes remaining, Nunez sealed the victory with a delicate header from Harvey Elliott’s delivery. Although not a stellar performance, Liverpool secured the win and reclaimed the top spot in the league.
