On September 13, both public and private schools will resume.

From September 19, model colleges and renovated schools will reopen in batches.

According to Folasade Adefisayo, the Commissioner of Education, SS2 students seeking placement into SS3 will resume on September 19 in model and improved schools.

From September 20 to 26, revision sessions will be held, and the SS3 promotion examination will be held from September 27 to October 8.

On October 2, newly admitted JS1 students at model colleges and upgrading schools will begin a one-week orientation session.

Other classes in the various institutions, such as JS 2, JS3, SS1, and the newly transited SS2, will start on October 9. The first day of classes will be October 11th.

The staggered resumption, according to Adefisayo, is due to the presence of 2020/2021 SS3 pupils who will be writing the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), which will end on October 6.

The commissioner recommended students to devote more time to their studies and to take their education more seriously. She wished them luck with their session.
