Barcelona’s manager, Xavi Hernandez, has emphatically stated that he has no intention of stepping down from his current position. According to him, the team is “halfway to creating a great team.”

Xavi took on the role of manager for his former club in November 2021 and achieved success by securing the LaLiga title last season and the Supercopa de Espana. Despite Barcelona extending his contract until 2025 in September, the team has faced challenges in returning to top form.

While they have advanced to the knockout stages of the Champions League, Barcelona has experienced setbacks, losing four of their last nine matches and currently trailing by seven points in the league.

Despite these challenges, Xavi remains optimistic about the team’s potential success this season. When questioned about the possibility of his managerial tenure coming to an end, he responded, “No, no. At the end of the season, you look at where you are and what you have won. I am a positive person. We can still have a great season. Everything is still in play.”

Xavi emphasized the need for unity at this moment and expressed belief in the project and the players. He highlighted the collaboration with sporting director Deco, president Joan Laporta, and vice president Rafa Yuste.
