Despite PSG’s expectation that Mbappe will leave on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract, with Real Madrid rumored as his next destination, reports suggest that the World Cup winner has not yet been paid his full salary and bonuses. According to L’Equipe, Mbappe is owed money from his bonus payment in February and a portion of his April salary, souring his relationship with the club.

It’s been claimed by French media that PSG saved approximately €80 million (£68 million) by withholding part of Mbappe’s salary and bonus. While PSG reportedly “forgot” to pay Mbappe his April salary and bonus, there are reports of ongoing negotiations between Mbappe and the club to resolve the matter, indicating a relatively calm relationship between the player and the club.

Despite the payment issues, Mbappe seems to have the support of his teammates as he prepares for a potential move to Real Madrid.
