The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has congratulated Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma on winning reelection on Saturday.
This was said by Ganduje in a statement from his chief press secretary in Abuja, Mr. Edwin Olofu.
He also conveyed his satisfaction with the Kogi electorate’s resounding endorsement of Ahmed Ododo in the state’s gubernatorial election.

According to him, the election victories of Ododo and Uzodimma demonstrated how comfortable Nigerians felt with the APC.
He continued by saying that the APC’s victories in both states demonstrated how grateful the populace was for the democratic benefits that outgoing Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and Governor Uzodinma of Imo State had delivered.
“I am relieved that the APC won both Kogi and Imo states because Nigerians value sound governance and want peace and steady development to continue in their states.”
We will always deliver on our pledges to provide good government because we are a progressive party.
“The people of Kogi and Imo States can be sure that Uzodimma will continue to advance the state’s development while Ododo will build on Gov. Bello’s impressive legacy,” he declared.
Ganduje commended Uzodinma and Ododo on their historic wins, but he also asked the opposing parties’ members to graciously concede their losses.
You genuinely are Democrats. In actuality, none of us loses because elections and democracy are impossible in the absence of a strong opposition.
“I implore you to work together to advance your respective states with Uzodimma and Ahmed Ododo, the newly appointed governor of Kogi.
The APC national chairman remarked, “You all fought a good battle. As the saying goes, there will always be another chance to test your level of acceptability among the electorate.”
