Klopp claims he has no idea why Wolves’ FA Cup victory was overturned.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has said that he thought Wolves ought to have won the 2-2 draw against his team in the FA Cup third-round on Saturday.

Gomes Toti, a defender, put the ball in the back of the net for Wolves with a backheel, but it was disallowed because Matheus Nunes was deemed to be offside.

However, there remained uncertainty because the VAR lacked a camera angle and any supporting evidence to overrule the linesman’s judgment.

Klopp expressed sympathy for Wolves and compared the circumstance to a goal Liverpool conceded away at Arsenal in October, admitting that he had mistakenly believed it to be a goal in play.

The manager of Liverpool said to reporters;

Klopp said he doesn’t know why Wolves’ winning goal was denied since he thought it was a goal.

“I’m not really sure” (if it was a goal). I couldn’t see it on the field, so I had no idea. It seemed like a goal to me. The person standing in the left corner was it. He may have been playing offside.

“I noticed one perspective in the locker room where it might have been offside. I don’t know if I would swear on that.

It might be, but if I’m right, I don’t believe the VAR had this perspective. I heard that, at least.

“We saw a similar issue with one angle being absent during the Arsenal game. Everyone agreed that it was clearly offside in the end, but we were unable to demonstrate it because the angle was absent.

“I have no idea how these things may occur, but they did. I can relate to Wolves’ frustration because you want to make the right choice in these circumstances, just as we did. However, I am powerless to do anything about it because I only saw one camera perspective.
