After kidnapping Ibrahim Oricha and 22 other residents from their home in Dei Dei town, Bwari Area of the Federal Capital Territory, a week ago, some kidnappers have been in touch with the victim’s family in an attempt to extract a ransom.

The victim’s sister, Rashidat Oricha, told our correspondent on Monday that she was fed up with the whole thing as the victims are orphans and without a support network to help them pay the ransom.

They first asked for N40 million. I pleaded with them, telling them we were orphans and had nothing. Thus, they advised us to bring N5 million. My brother is unemployed since he recently completed his National Youth Service Corps program.
“I’m worn out and stressed out. I’m at a loss on what to do. Even though many have committed, we have not received any money, therefore we are still looking for donations, she added.
