Karim Benzema attributes his four-month goal drought to the lack of support from his Al Ittihad teammates, contrasting the situation with the support he received at Real Madrid.
The French striker enjoyed a prolific spell at Real Madrid, scoring 19 goals in 24 games last season. However, since his move to Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, Benzema found the net nine times in his first 13 league appearances. Yet, he has struggled to score since his last goal against Al Khaleej on November 30.
When asked about his inability to replicate his success at Real Madrid during an interview with Action with Walid, Benzema pointed to the differences in playing style and teammates.

“It’s because it’s not the same game, it’s not the same players, I need to be helped,” he stated. “I need help on the pitch. I can’t win the game alone. I need a lot of things.”
Despite rumors of discontent in Saudi Arabia, Benzema had previously denied any unhappiness. However, speculation about a potential return to Europe has persisted, with clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid reportedly interested in the 36-year-old.
While Benzema dismissed rumors of an exit in January, he left the door open for future developments, stating, “Every day there is news about my transfer, but I am here and we will see what happens in the future.”
