Upon his arrival from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, the German international was expected to bolster Arsenal’s midfield ranks. However, his early performances in the 2023/24 season in that role yielded limited success. Yet, a transition to a predominantly striking position has seen him emerge as a prolific goal scorer, notching nine goals in 30 Premier League appearances this season.

He remarked, “When I moved to Chelsea in 2020, it was normal to require some time to adapt and establish connections with teammates on and off the pitch. It was evident to me that this adjustment period would take a few weeks.”

Havertz continued, “I’m someone who doesn’t easily adapt to new environments, so it typically takes me a few weeks or months. Nowadays, things have certainly fallen into place. I feel extremely comfortable here. I have developed a fondness for the club, the players, the staff, and the fans. It was unquestionably the right decision for me, and I’m just delighted to be here and compete for titles this season.”

Regarding the popular chant “Kai Havertz scores again,” Havertz expressed his appreciation, describing the song as “really cool.”

He added, “I genuinely think the song is fantastic. It’s heartwarming when the fans celebrate your goals with such enthusiasm and support. It’s incredibly uplifting for a footballer because peak performance isn’t sustainable every day. Fluctuations are normal. Therefore, it’s incredibly gratifying for me. I enjoy the song and its melody.”
